CSC101: Introduction to Computer Concepts

This course introduces themes and concepts that are prevalent within the Computer Science field to the student. A student will have a good understanding about computers, technology and the role they play within the technology ecosystem at the end of the semester. While this is not a programming class, students will be exposed to beginner level programming in order to build familiarity and context for discussions. This course also counts towards satisfying the University’s speaking intensive requirement. This is accomplished through a high level of class discussion as well as group lead presentations focused on relevant topics within technology. The course is divided into a lecture and a hands on lab component.
